the Content Practice Center — the only collegial professional academic club among the top 100 campus clubs nationwide
The Content Practice Center, which is affiliated with the School of Economics and Management of Wuhan University, is among the top 10 student clubs of Wuhan University and the top 100 collegial student clubs nationwide. Dating back to 1992, a party of passionate young masters and doctors set it up to pursue their dream in the ivory tower, and named it Content, which, in Chinese, is Kang Teng. The Content Practice Center draws much attention both on and off campus, and evokes the ingenuity and initiative of myriad young scholars due to the originality、application and foresight of the activities it holds, which concern economics and management ,pay close attention to society and encompass fields from class to practice.
On campus, the Content Practice Center acts upon the principle of striving for the integration of theory and practice to the largest extent. Content held the Stock Market Simulation Contest creatively, teamed up to attend the Challenge Cup Business Plan Competition, and took the lead in holding the Entrepreneurship Simulation Competition .Moreover, as a fascinating scene in the fall of Wuhan University, the annual Content Case Analysis Competition, which is participated freely by teams from universities in middle China, is now a classic brand of Wuhan University. On October 14th, 2004, experts from the Ministry of Education as well as officials of top universities nationwide, who were then in Wuhan attending the National College Campus Culture Seminar, watched the competition and gave high praise to it. In 2006, the 14th Content Case Analysis Competition started to face to the whole county, during which ,the success of two news conferences expanded the social influence of the competition .Teams from many universities took part in the competition, such as Peking University, Shanghai Jiao tong University, Xiamen University, Sun Yat-sen University, South China University of Technology, Xi’an Jiao tong University , Sichuan University, Shanghai University of Finance & Economics, University of International Business and Economics, Central University of Finance and Economics, Central University for Nationalities, Jilin University ,Hunan University, Central South University, Northwest University, Fuzhou University and Beijing University of Chemical Technology. With their active participation, the arena of the competition grows all the more colorful and even grander.
In society, Content is walking towards enterprises and cooperates with renowned corporations like Metro and China Mobile. The sponsor of the 2006 national competition was Ma Ying-medicine, a listed company with a history as long as 400 years. Through the close cooperation with these well known enterprises, Content provides college students with a stage to hone their skills and show themselves. Meanwhile, Content is also walking towards rural areas. Together with other universities in the nation, Content carried out the programme “College Students and farmers band together to build a new country”, in which Content displayed a unique vision and approach to examine, to think, and to act.
Fifteen extraordinary and towering years reflects the Content spirit of "Pursue excellence, and Challenge the limit"; by making endeavors and fighting together, youthful rhythms are the very response to the Content style of "react rapidly, and act immediately ".
